Can We Have Your Shoes?

Do you know that something as simple as shoes makes a world of difference to those living in remote areas of Africa?

Shoes are essential to humans as a whole, but consider those living in remote areas where parasitic diseases are common. Going barefoot in these regions can lead to illnesses caused when parasites infect the unprotected feet, which can debilitate or cripple children and adults, leaving them unable to care for themselves. Unfortunately, shoes are often in short supply or unaffordable for people in these regions, leaving them vulnerable to easily preventable diseases.

Because of this need, we've decided to bring our Soles For Africa project back as an annual program that will run during the Spring (4/3 thru 6/30). So as you start your Spring cleaning, put your new and gently used closed-toe shoes (preferably sneakers/tennis shoes) over to the side for our brothers and sisters in Africa. For clarification, we're accepting men, women, children, & infant shoes, of all sizes.

*We appreciate all efforts, but please adhere to the following.

- Shoes should be new or, gently used, like new.

- Shoes MUST be clean and without odor.

- Please bag your shoes, and place them in the bin at the drop-off location of your choice.

- Please be mindful of the days and times that each of our community partners is accepting donations.
