Corda Rope Sandals can be machine washed and dried, but we suggest washing them by hand with a soft bristle brush. Ideally, a toothbrush.

 

Start with warm water and antibacterial soap to get rid of all germs. It's important that you work your soft bristle brush in only one direction to keep the rope from fraying.

 

Then choose a pleasant smelling natural soap and hand scrub with a soft bristle brush.

 

Rinse with water and spin them around a few times to shake out as much water as you can.

 

Then set in the sun until dried.

 

And now you have clean sandals!

Are Corda rope sandals true to size? 

Our shoes are sized per typical US sizes and we would recommend you buy according to “standard” U.S. shoes. If you normally wear a half size, we recommend rounding up.

 

Are the rope sandals comfortable?

Yes!!! Rope sandals are incredibly comfortable as they form to your feet, and they are very light, making it feel like you hardly have shoes on at all. It may take a week or two of wear to get into this ‘super comfy’ stage, but once they do they will wear like a dream.

 

How will my rope soles hold up?

The rubber soles protect the borders and last a lot longer so you won’t see the same effects and wear and tear from your deep love of them. Haven’t heard of anyone walking through the rubber sole yet! Rope Sandals with rubber soles usually hold up for years.

 

How do I clean my rope shoes?

Are rope sandals water resistant?

Yes, these babies can handle salt water, chlorine, river water, lake water, rain water, jungle puddles, you name it. But you don’t want to leave them wet for long. Just make sure your rope sandals dry really well before putting them away.  

TIP – when you set out your shoes to dry, do so in the sun if possible, and stand them on their toes, or heels, to dry out!

 

Are rope sandals vegan?

Yes. all of our rope shoes are 100% vegan.

 

Who exactly do you give jobs to?

We first try to hire young adults leaving orphanages to give them the opportunity they need to sustain themselves. We also hire people who need a little extra help, like single mothers or those with medical disabilities, like epilepsy or effects from Polio. We ensure they have the flexibility and accommodations to care for their medical needs.
